A level art project
I run into a man at least once a week at a Cafe on the North Shore. He is incredibly kind and always goes out of his way to come say hello and ask how my day/week/mood is. I want to remind you all to take advantage of the little moments in your day that you could use to improve someone else’s.
It just so happens that he, Atza, is also an incredible artist. I would never have been subject to his undeniable talent had he not made me feel comfortable enough to ask what he is always working on. I believe a great importance lies in the idea of connection, something I believe we all have managed to lose sight of in the face of technological availability at our disposal. If you choose to converse with someone new, truly allow yourself to be engaged in that moment. I’m not talking about yogic blather; “be present…etc” but you must actually put forth an effort to understand those around you in order to allow yourself to grow.
I want to thank him, and intend to, the next time our paths cross, for reminding me that in our world of ‘me first,’ you must know who you are both on the inside and in relation to others’ offerings in order to find your place in this world.
